Realtor Headshots San Antonio

5 things I want to tell Realtors about their headshots – From a former Realtor

Listen, I’ve hung around the water cooler in the office long enough to know the lingo that goes on at the brokerage office. Especially when it comes to realtor headshots San Antonio. Or spending any more money than you have to. You have invested your time and your money to pass the state and national real estate exam. Just so you could become a top producing realtor. You bought the books, spent money on the extra training, paid the brokerage fees, and everything else that comes along with getting started.

But when it comes time for one of the most important things … your online appearance. You decide to go to the company headshot “guru” to save some coins. Nothing wrong with this, until you decide that you want to dominate your industry and that mediocre headshot will not suffice.

Sure, if your other marketing strategies are on point you can still land some deals. But there are over 10,000 plus realtors in San Antonio and the ones that are hungry to be the best all want the same thing as you do. To be the realtor of choice in San Antonio Texas. Let me tell you 7 reasons why you need great headshot if you want to dominate your sector.

Realtor Headshots San Antonio

1. It’s the thing to do if you want your business to attract the target market you intend.

Competition nowadays is more intense than ever with more and more people competing for fewer and fewer jobs! I cannot speak for all potential customers looking to buy or sell a home that may visit your business page, however as a consumer myself when I browse a page looking to do business with someone, I often spend more time looking at the images on that page than I do looking at what the company is about. And in the case of your industry I spend a lot of time checking out what homes are available on the market, etc.

And once the business has CAPTURED my attention through great imagery … THEN I will read their about section to make that call to schedule a showing. For example, if you want to see a top producing team of realtors with phenomenal headshots, check out the Lisa Sinn Team. A professional headshot helps me to build trust with the company or representative(s) I will be working with before I ever even meet them! If I see a poor quality headshot, it’s a mere reflection to me that the realtor does not care about their image. And if they don’t care about their OWN image … why would they ever care about mine? Why would they go out of their way to help me buy or stage and sell a home if they didn’t even care enough to take a professional picture?

2. You might need one tomorrow.

You never know when you will get that long awaited call for an opportunity to go show a home or go on a listing appointment for a big potential client and need a professional headshot. A portion of my work comes from realtors in San Antonio who are in a desperate need for an updated headshot that they need ASAP because an opportunity has presented itself. Don’t stress yourself out trying to get a last minute realtor headshot for that Newspaper article or new job who is requesting one. Make sure that you have already met your realtor headshot needs when that time comes. If you stay ready, you won’t have to get ready.

Have you read enough to make a decision to contact us and let us update your headshots? If so, you can call the office at (210) 281-1085 … otherwise let me continue to give you more persuading.

3. Old headshots are killing your business.

Or at least any new business that is. If you have managed to make it as a realtor for several years building your business from your circle of influence, kudos to you. You may be able to get someone like me in the door of your business with your headshot from 1990 in which you had perfect features, but you will never close me on a deal because I gained respect and trust from the realtor I saw in the headshot posted on your page or business card. And when I get to finally meet you in person, you look nothing like your image that was posted. Don’t they have rules against unfair practices like this in real estate … lol j/k but seriously that picture is old.

That is an immediate red flag to me that you are possibly outdated

and even possibly willing to use a little deception to get the job … which is an AUTOMATIC NO DEAL for someone like me. Because I do business with people I know, like and trust. And with competition as steep as it is today, I will quickly move on to someone who has a more updated profile and actually looks like their headshot … regardless of how good your product is because I never even allow you the time to educate me on it. Besides, old headshots make you look un-photogenic! Update that old headshot …LIKE YESTERDAY! It’s better to have a current headshot on your website and social media pages so people will recognize you when they see you in a crowd because IT ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE YOU!

4. Realtor headshots in San Antonio are a must have.

If you are in this field then I don’t need to say much to you to express how important an updated and lively headshot is these days and has always been. Your headshot is the FIRST thing that many clients see and form their opinions about you. They are deciding if you will fit the criteria for the role of selling their home. Quite simply, if you are not getting a lot of calls from potential clients it is most likely because you need to get more attention. You must overcome obscurity. Or it could just be that they are not buying your headshot image or it simply is not good enough.

The investment for realtor headshots will pay for itself with the new work you will gain.

It is no mystery that you will need to pay money to invest into your professional headshot. However this is an investment that will take care of itself. You will be using your updated headshot images just about everywhere. From your website, to social media sites, to comments you leave on others blogs, to even your own blogs.

Don’t have your “Uncle John” take your headshot. Because while uncle John may have an expensive camera, he may not know the correct angles. And He may not know secret head tilts, or how to bring out the best in you. That’s why you pay a professional. I understand that we all are looking to save money. But  a poor headshot is hurting your business more than helping it. And you may not realize the importance of conveying the right message to the people in your industry. How do you want you or your company to be seen by the world? People study faces, and it boils down to this. If you are a professional … you need a high quality professional headshot! It’s time to make that investment. Do it now.
